Speaking of Books

The Fellowship's Non-fiction Book Club

  Our Story

There are many book clubs around but never a non-fiction book club. Speaking of Books fixes that.  You don’t need to be a member of the Fellowship to join just a book lover. We choose our own books and follow where our interests and curiosity lead us. We value open and insightful as well as fun and friendly conversation. We try to stay two months ahead in picking our books. Every January we take a break from non-fiction and share a poem or two or other writing that spoke to us.

Here are some books we've read:
Saving Capitalism
    Robert Reich
Mountains Beyond Mountains
    Tracy Kidder
What a Plant Knows
    Daniel Chamovitz
Being Mortal
    Atul Gawande
The Warmth of Other Suns
  Isabel Wilkerson
Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margins of Error
    Kathryn Schulz
The Quartet
   Joseph J. Ellis
The Shepherd’s Life
  James Rebanks
The Big Oyster: History on the half shell
  Mark Kurlansky
