HOPE ON A MISSION
In November of 2025, our 5th Sunday Collection will benefit Hope on a Mission. Founder Cara Mia
Bacchiochi will speak to us on Sunday, November 2, about her mission.
Hope On A Mission (HOAM) is a street outreach ministry seeking to restore dignity, with love & grace, to homeless, addicted women (and men) in the streets of Poughkeepsie, NY, and beyond. We do this through acts of compassion at our Pop-up Provisions events throughout the city, four times a week, every week, all year long. People surviving homelessness, and/or addiction can get a hot meal, bottled water & snacks to-go; clean, dry, seasonally appropriate clothing and footwear, & personal hygiene items, through RELATIONSHIP, COMMUNITY, and ACCEPTANCE , no matter what.

MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA OF DUTCHESS COUNTY
In August of 2025, our 5th Sunday collection will benift Mental Health Amercial of Dutchess County. MHA of Dutchess County of Dutchess County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making sure nobody gets left behind in our community due to lack of mental health services. Our staff and volunteers work day and night to:
- Strengthen families
- Overcome fear
- Help people dealing with anxiety
- Link individuals to the supports they need
- Provide safe spaces to heal
- Break down stigma
- ...and much, much more.
Our Goal
We’re working to create a world where anyone can get access to the full spectrum of mental health services they need, without jumping through unnecessary hoops. We believe mental wellness benefits the whole community! That’s why we honor these beliefs:
Integrity
It's hard to heal without support from someone you trust. That’s why we offer you a safe space, respect your confidence, and work hard to earn your trust.
Dignity
To have dignity is to be worthy of honor or respect. We envision a society where every individual is treated with dignity regardless of where you came from or your current situation.
Compassion
Everybody’s got a story to tell, and we’re here to support you in yours. We’re ready to listen to your situation, and deliver you the complete and unique care you need. At the end of the day, all of this is just words. The people who are delivering you the care is where the magic really happens.

CELEBRATING THE AFRICAN SPIRIT
In June of 2025, every Sunday morning collection will benefit Celebrating the African Spirit.
The mission of Celebrating the African Spirit is to acknowledge, articulate, research and commemorate the lives of enslaved Africans in Poughkeepsie, New York.
CAS' work is rooted in the reality that slavery existed in the Mid-Hudson Region, and in Poughkeepsie from the earliest days, and enslaved adults and children were major contributors to the growth of what is now the City of Poughkeepsie and the Mid-Hudson Region. The works, language and traditions of Africans, both enslaved and free, are part of the legacy, which is American history, and should be taught to, and treasured by, all Americans. This lack of knowledge contributes to ongoing denial regarding the consequences of centuries of slavery, our violent and racist past, and the pervasiveness of racism and inequality in America today.
