Rev Alexa Fraser is an experienced interim and transitional minister and a graduate of the Starr King School for Ministry - one of only 2 UU seminaries. She has been an interim at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Sterling and a transitional minister at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Lynchburg, VA.
In addition to her commitment to parish ministry, she has worked in hospital and pain and palliative care settings to build her chaplaincy skills. She is certified in Spiritual Direction and is a Grief Recovery Method Specialist, Certified by the Grief Recovery Institute™. She holds a PhD in Environmental studies and worked as a health researcher for NIH and other Federal agencies for over 25 years before her career change. She has been a UU for 22 years and was previously a Quaker.
She loves Zoom ministry and is delighted to be serving the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie for church year 2020 as their interim minister.
