Director of Religious Education

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Poughkeepsie

This is a half time position. Our program is comprised of children and youth (which includes Coming of Age and OWL [the UUA's Our Whole Lives Curriculum]).

We are looking for someone who can work in partnership with our minister and our Lifespan Faith Development Committee. The position requires skills in program development and management, speaking and writing effectively, and strong interpersonal skills. A background in working with children with some knowledge of child development is required. Applicants should be able to demonstrate this knowledge and these skills with verifiable experience and/or education.

We are a growing congregation with a Religious Education program we are excited about that reflects our liberal religious principles and which demonstrates these principles to our children and youth. Our program has been run and staffed by committed volunteers in recent years, but with our expanding membership, the task has become difficult and we feel the need to return to professional leadership.
